Course Summary

We are pleased to announce the fourth annual Wellcome Trust conference on Genomic Epidemiology of Malaria, to be held at the Wellcome Trust Conference Centre on the Genome Campus in Hinxton, UK from 10-13 June 2012.

This meeting provides a common forum for malaria scientists and clinicians working at the interface of genome science and technology, epidemiology, and statistical and population genetics, with interest in understanding the clinical and biological consequences of genome variation in malaria-exposed populations.

Topics will include genomic epidemiology of the host, vector and parasite, highlighting the practical relevance of this research to global health, including anti-malarial drug resistance, insecticide resistance, vaccine design, and mechanisms of protective immunity.
