The workshop aims at teaching interested students and postdocs advanced microscopy approaches to study parasites. It is open to all students and postdocs in the malaria (and related parasites) field, with preference given to those within the PhD programme of EviMalaR.
The 12 places will be given after selection based on the apparent need for advanced microscopy techniques as judged on the submitted abstracts. Participants will have to make their own accommodation and travel arrangements. Sandwich lunches, snacks and drinks will be provided during the course. The course begins with a BBQ following the BioMalPar meeting at EMBL
The participants are requested to present their own work (15 min talk + discussion) and a paper chosen by the organizers that reflects recent advances in the imaging field with an expected impact on the study of malaria parasite biology. Papers will be distributed with the acceptance letters.
