Europe Institutions Open Day

Brussels - 12th May 2012

The Open Day of the European Institutions will take place on Saturday 12/05/2012 from 10.00 to 18.00 at the main European Commission headquarters, the Berlaymont.

We are pleased to announce that the EVIMalaR project together with our new innovative EVIMalaR comic will be presented at the Directorate General for Research and Innovation stand in the ''Growth and Job Village''.

Forskningens døgn, Copenhagen

The University of Copenhagen, an EVIMalaR Institute, was represented at "Forskningens døgn" - a public outreach Science Festival in Copenhagen aimed predominantly at school-children. EVIMalaR partner Lars Hvid was pleased to announce that we had a very well attended booth there.

tRNA thiolation

In all organisms, tRNAs undergo numerous post-transcriptional modifications. In general, modifications that occur away from the anticodon loop play more of a structural role, and their absence could lead to destabilization of the tRNA. Modifications that affect the anticodon nucleotides usually have a direct bearing on decoding.
